About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Quality Test Engineer who is passionate about building defect-free, high-quality software that delights our customers. This role is responsible for ensuring that testing activities are delivered to the highest standards across all systems owned by the team.

The Senior Quality Test Engineer will champion test automation as the primary driver of testing, ensuring that automated tests are effectively designed, implemented, and integrated into CI/CD pipelines. You will be part of a highly efficient, collaborative team that contributes directly to business success while continuously driving quality, innovation, and improvement across our software products.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver high-quality testing across all applications and systems managed by the team.
  • Champion shift-left testing practices, ensuring quality is embedded early in the software development lifecycle through early involvement in requirements, design, and refinement discussions.
  • Ensure automation-first testing strategies, with tests integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated test solutions for applications and systems managed by the team
  • Lead functional and non-functional testing activities, including regression, integration, performance, and reliability testing.
  • Define and review test strategies, and test scenarios based on requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Analyse test results, identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and clearly communicate findings to the team.
  • Support release activities to ensure smooth deployments and verify that applications and systems meet defined quality and business expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, Architects, and other stakeholders to ensure quality is embedded early in the development lifecycle.
  • Mentor and support other testers within the team, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Drive innovation in testing tools, frameworks, and processes to improve efficiency and coverage.


Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience in test automation, with TypeScript as the primary programming language.
  • Strong working experience testing web applications, backend services, and APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks for frontend and API testing.
  • Strong experience in functional testing, including integration and regression testing.
  • Experience working with micro front-end architectures and associated testing strategies.
  • Good experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using modern tools.
  • Ability to analyse test results, identify defects, and perform root cause analysis effectively.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders.
  • A curious mindset with a strong willingness to continuously learn, adapt, and improve testing approaches and tools.

Desirable

  • Experience in non-functional testing, such as performance, reliability, and resilience testing.
  • Understanding of shift-left testing practices and embedding quality early in the development lifecycle.
  • Experience in load and performance testing, including designing and implementing automated performance test solutions.
  • Working knowledge of Docker containers and modern deployment approaches.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes-based deployments and how applications and systems operate within such environments.
  • Experience with C# for test automation or related development activities.
  • Exposure to using AI-assisted tools to enhance testing efficiency.
