About the Role
This position exists to provide support to Law Enforcement customers in the role of Geolocation Analyst. This position bridges the gap between customer requirements and production outcome as a Subject Matter Expert on LexisNexis solutions within the Special Investigations Unit (SIU). The Public Safety SIU is comprised of former law enforcement experts who leverage the LexisNexis solutions and data offering to provide real-time investigative insight for LexisNexis customers. The role of Geolocation Analyst requires a highly skilled and proficient user of the LexisNexis TraX solution. The analyst will utilize geolocation visualization tools, conduct pattern analysis, and provide valuable insight to aid in criminal investigations leveraging best practices and techniques.
This position can be remote in the USA with 50% travel domestically.
Responsibilities
Analysis of call detail record and other forms of geolocation data, provided by customers, to provide actionable insight to aid in criminal investigations
Leveraging the LexisNexis TraX solution to create reports, and demonstrative aids for investigative and prosecutorial purposes
Provide hands on case assistance to customers during multi-day instructor led training classes
Testify as an expert witness in criminal trials in call detail record and mobile device geolocation analysis
Test and evaluate new features, products and processes to support internal and external teams
Ability to peer review cases for insight and evaluation
Communicate complex processes in a simple, easy to understand manner
Prepare for training classes by testing training software and partnering with the Trainer on all class details
Drive a high level of engagement with training attendees
Work directly with sales team to support product understanding, implementation and best practices.
Maintain positive customer relationship through detailed analysis of large data sets
Operate professionally and effectively, often without direct supervision, while conducting high-quality analysis, data development, capability briefs, and reach-back support seamlessly across diverse analytic and technical teams
Be capable of being certified as an expert witness in call detail record and geolocation analysis for court proceedings
Cooperatively works with others within the team and outside the team to achieve objectives.

Requirements
Law enforcement background
Minimum 4 years' experience in call detail record data analysis
Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, mathematics or related field. Public Safety and/or regulatory government experience is preferred
Demonstrated competence in application of logic to problems
Demonstrated competence in research and problem resolution
Strong organizational, prioritizing and time management skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Experience in managing large customer facing solutions
Self-motivated and dynamic
Proficient in Google Earth Pro, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
Ability to work as an effective team member and independently
Preferred experience in LexisNexis suite of solutions
On call as needed for exigent case assistance
US Citizenship required

Physical and/or logical access to criminal justice information is an essential function of this role. The successful candidate will be required to pass both the standard company background check for all employees and an enhanced criminal background check conducted by the Company’s state and local law enforcement partners conducted in compliance with the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information System (“CJIS”) security policy. Employees in this role may also be subject to ongoing criminal background checks as required by the Company’s state and local law enforcement partners. Candidates and/or employees who are not certified by state and local law enforcement to access criminal justice information will not be able to perform the essential functions of this role. Employees who subsequently fail to obtain or maintain CJIS compliance may be reassigned or terminated.


U.S. National Base Pay Range: $78,800 - $131,300. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates.

Base Pay Range for CO is $78,800 - $131,300. Base Pay Range for IL is $82,800 - $137,800. Base Pay Range for Chicago, IL is $86,700 - $144,400. Base Pay Range for MD is $82,800 - $137,800. Base Pay Range for NY is $86,700 - $144,400. Base Pay Range for New York City is $94,700 - $157,500. Base Pay Range for Rochester, NY is $78,800 - $131,300. Base Pay Range for OH is $74,900 - $124,700. Base Pay Range for NJ is $89,012- $142,188.


This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
