Business Development Manager

📍 Location: London (Hybrid: 2 days/week in office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays)

About the Role

This role sits at the heart of Brightmine’s UK sales organisation and focuses exclusively on inbound enquiries. As a Business Development Manager, you will engage with prospects who have already shown interest in our solutions, whether through marketing campaigns, website enquiries, events, trials or content interactions.

Your goal is to quickly qualify, understand customer needs, and guide prospects through a consultative sales process that leads to successful new business conversions. You’ll work closely with marketing, product specialists and the wider sales team to ensure every inbound lead receives a timely, high‑quality experience.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities through qualified leads

  • Build and develop relationships with key decision-makers

  • Lead detailed discovery conversations to identify relevant solutions aligned with customer needs and people strategies

  • Sell multiple products across the Brightmine portfolio using the 3C methodology to meet revenue and KPI targets

  • Negotiate effectively with customers, following agreed commercial guidelines

  • Provide accurate forecasting and maintain high‑quality CRM records

  • Monitor market trends and industry news to develop market leading knowledge

  • Collaborate with marketing to provide feedback on lead quality, trends and customer behaviour

  • Represent Brightmine with professionalism and insight, positioning us as a partner of choice

Requirements

  • Proven success in solution sales, both over the phone and face-to-face

  • Excellent communication and listening skills, with a people-oriented, collaborative approach

  • Strong relationship-building skills with both external clients and internal stakeholders

  • Ability to quickly acquire working knowledge of Brightmine’s products, market, and customer needs

  • Effective time management and organisational skills

  • Strong negotiation capabilities and commercial acumen
