About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior full stack engineer to oversee the development of solutions that convert clinical data into actionable insights for customers. This position requires the ability to drive technical standards for a clinical data product platform and work collaboratively with a cross-functional team, including Product, Design, and Data departments.

The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions for major features and supporting the integration of AI tools to improve engineering processes. The role also includes enabling other engineers to develop and maintain products that effectively use data to address customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

• End-to-End Product Ownership: Collaborate with Product, Data, and Design teams to oversee complex projects from initial architecture to successful deployment, ensuring adherence to enterprise-level security and compliance standards.

• Data-Driven Experience Development: Transform intricate clinical data into accessible and user-friendly experiences for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Engineering Culture Leadership: Define and promote engineering best practices across interdisciplinary teams, provide mentorship to junior engineers, and support architectural decision-making processes.

• AI-Augmented Engineering: Utilize large language models (LLMs) to enhance efficiency in UI development, document generation, code review, and synthetic/test data creation.

Requirements:

• 5+ years with a track record of leading complex projects

• Self-starter and ability to drive impact with minimal high-level direction

• Expert programming skills in frontend, backend and data technologies such as react and JavaScript/Typescript, python.

• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)

• Experience with distributed systems and cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Solid understanding of data architecture, APIs, and data-intensive systems (distributed datastores, data warehouses/lakes, big data processing that handles structured datasets)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with HIPAA or other compliance-heavy industries

• Background in data and analytics

Technical Skills:

• Frontend: JavaScript/Typescript, React, HTML5, CSS3, responsive design.

• Backend: NodeJS, API and database design/optimization, data modelling, microservice architecture, data security and privacy

• Data: Apache Spark, Kafka, Delta Lake, Databricks, Looker, Python

• Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP

• Automation: Gitlab CI, GitHub Actions

• Monitoring: Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch
