About the Team:

This team manages the backend infrastructure for online birth certificate ordering, ensuring stability and performance across platforms like jBoss, Java, and SQL Server. They collaborate closely with external tech partners, contribute to product design, and are actively migrating applications to the cloud for improved scalability and efficiency.

About the Role:

This position provides assistance and input to management, develops and leads large multifunctional development activities, solves complex technical problems, writes complex code for computer systems, and serves as a senior source of expertise. The position may also provide sizing or budget recommendations to management.

Requirements:

• BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required; advanced experience and degree preferred

• Expertise in software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall), test-driven development, and architectural principles.

• Advanced skills in data modeling, manipulation, optimization, and proficiency with multiple data storage subsystems.

• Strong command of development languages including Java, JavaScript, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, .Net, and operating systems like Windows and UNIX.

• Proven ability to lead and collaborate with internal and external technology teams to solve complex business challenges.

• Strong organizational, budgeting, and project management skills across diverse teams and resource models (e.g., Managed Services, Staff Augmentation).

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary technical contact for external partners and provide product design input.

• Collaborate with customers, end users, and technical teams to finalize requirements and resolve complex coding issues.

• Develop and review system specifications, fix bugs, and work with advanced data models.

• Mentor lead developers on methodologies and optimization techniques, and perform other assigned duties.
