About the Role

This position performs complex research, design, and software development assignments within a software functional area or product line, and provides direct input to project plans, schedules, and methodology in the development of cross-functional software products. This position performs software design — typically across multiple systems; mentors more-junior members of the team; and talks to users/customers and translates their requests into solutions.

Responsibilities

Analyse and remediate vulnerabilities in container images and application dependencies Apply secure coding practices and address frontend attack vectors such as XSS and CSRF Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and Helm Contribute to web application development with a focus on performance optimization and accessibility Collaborate with application teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle

​Requirements

  • 3+ years of Software Engineering or DevOps experience

  • BS in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required

  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as XRay, Snyk, Black Duck, or Sonatype

  • Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and secure coding practices

  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, or Podman) and orchestration platforms (Azure Kubernetes, or ECS)

  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) and infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, or Helm)

  • Experience with development languages like PHP, Java, or PERL.

  • It is preferred that the candidate is effective in one or more of the following technologies:

  • JavaScript, TypeScript, React, modern UI frameworks.

  • Verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking skills, and interpersonal skills (Required)

  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time (Required)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across teams
