About the role
Apheris is revolutionizing how businesses commercialize their data for ML by enabling governed, secure, private computational access without sharing data. Join our dynamic team in this unique Business Development & Operations role based in Germany, where you'll play a crucial part in generating and nurturing our sales pipeline. Working closely with our interdisciplinary team, you will identify and connect with potential high-profile clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnological sectors as well as healthcare data and software companies, arranging initial meetings. Your enthusiasm for process automation coupled with your strong communication skills and persuasive character will help us expand our customer base.

We are looking for a candidate who can start as soon as possible and stay with us for an extended period of time, with the possibility of transitioning into a full-time position afterwards. This role provides a unique opportunity to shape your career path and contribute significantly to our business and growth.

What you will do
  • Identify relevant companies and stakeholders in life sciences and healthcare software organizations for our outreach
  • Improve, automate and execute the outreach process, using tools such as HubSpot and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Analyse the success of our outreach campaigns and derive recommendations for potential improvements
  • Support with reinventing and defining our go-to-market and outreach strategy
  • Take over some internal topics where we need ad-hoc hands-on support
You should apply if
  • You are based in Germany and are enrolled in or have just graduated from a bachelor's or master's degree program in a business-related field
  • You have prior experience in sales or revenue operations, business development, or a similar role, preferably in a start-up or scale-up environment
  • You are fluent in business English (verbal and written) and communicate in a constructive and proactive manner
  • You are curious to apply your broad set of skills and have a good sense of customer orientation
  • You have a strong sense of ownership and are structured team player with the drive to propose innovative ideas
  • You have genuine interest in working with cutting-edge technology enabling AI and ML in a fast-paced environment and a young start-up
Bonus points if
  • You are proficient in using HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Surfe, Cognism, and/or Neverbounce
  • You love improving/automating processes or implementing new processes from scratch
  • You have prior scientific exposure (academic or professional) to pharma, (bio-)chemistry or related fields
  • You have a general understanding of the value of data and the potential of AI/ML technologies in life sciences

Logistics
Our interview process is split into three stages:
  1. Initial Screening: If your application matches our requirements, we invite you to an initial video call to explore the fit. In this short initial call (15-30 mins), you will get to know us and the role. The interviewer will be interested in your relevant experiences and skills, as well as answer any question on the company and the role itself that you may have.
  2. Deep Dive: In this more detailed interview (45 mins – 1 hour), one of our colleagues will assess your skills and knowledge required for the role. Having passed the initial screening, you will receive a brief take-home task to complete prior to the deep dive interview. Additionally, we’ll talk about our culture and assess the mutual fit.
  3. Final Interview: In this final interview (30-45 mins), one or more domain experts from our team will further assess your skills and knowledge required for the role by asking you about relevant experiences or your solutions for specific scenarios in line with the role we are staffing. The final interview offers an opportunity to clarify any of your or our questions that remained unresolved in the previous two stages.
