About the role
Apheris is on the cusp of revolutionising the way sensitive data is used for advanced analytics and AI in pharma and healthcare. Apheris safely connects data for federated analytics and AI, building the world's largest healthcare and life sciences data network. As we prepare for our next phase of growth, we are looking for a hands-on commercial leader to shape and execute our GTM strategy. You will be part of our executive team, reporting directly to our CEO Robin and working closely with our VP Product Elli, CTO & Co-Founder Michael and our VP Engineering Eero. You will build and lead a world class commercial function with talents like our Sales Director Matt or Pre-Sales Lead Britta. You will build a repeatable and scalable sales motion, hire and oversee a marketing function and forge strategic partnerships with companies like NVIDIA, Intel and cloud providers.

This role requires a strategic, visionary and hands-on commercial leader: you must have a deep understanding of the pharma and healthcare data market - ideally having sold 7-8 figure software licenses to enterprise customers. You must have experience of building and leading a commercial function in an early stage environment - driving a culture of excellence and velocity. You will need to be strategic yet hands-on - thriving in high growth environments and deeply technical organisations. What you will do
  • Drive GTM Strategy: Formulate and execute Go-To-Market strategies tailored to Pharma and Healthcare, leading to product adoption and revenue growth.
  • Build and lead GTM Team (Sales, Marketing & Partnerships): Provide leadership and support to the GTM team: refine ICP, value messaging, use cases, marketing activity, and support development of sales collateral. Set priorities in alignment with strategic goals.
  • Accelerate Sales Cycle: Actively engage in pre- and post-sales activities to accelerate the sales cycle, directly contributing to revenue growth and customer acquisition.
  • Forge Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate and manage partnerships with data science consultancies and Big Tech firms to expand market reach and enhance the product offering.
  • Executive oversight: Work as part of the executive team (one of 5 people) setting overall company priorities and driving operations
You should apply if
  • You have a deep market understanding about and are well connected within the Pharma & Healthcare data industry – experience having sold software and data products to Pharma Executives
  • You have experience growing a commercial function in an early stage environment
  • You have experience forming large scale partnerships
  • You have experience leading the commercial function of an early-stage business: we have early product market fit and continue to iterate on our GTM; you should be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and be able to make decisions based on only few data points
Bonus points if
  • Experience in data network driven GTM
  • Solid understanding of AI workloads and use cases
  • Domain expertise around Pharma research data - deep understanding about which players have AI relevant data for Life Science customers and what commercialization strategies they have

Logistics
Our interview process is split into three phases:

  1. Initial Screening: If your application matches our requirements, our hiring manager will invite you to an initial video call. In this 45 minutes interview, you will get to know us and the role. Our hiring manager will be interested in your relevant experiences and skills as well as answer any question on the company and the role itself that you may have.
  2. Deep Dive: Your second video call will be with a domain expert from our team. Our interviewer will assess your skills and knowledge required for the role by asking you about meaningful experiences or your solutions for specific scenarios in line with the role we are staffing.
  3. Final Interview: Finally, we invite you to our office for two to three hours of interviewing with our founders, talking about our culture and meeting future co-workers on the ground.
