Secfix helps B2B SaaS startups and scaleups automate security & compliance and reach security standards like SOC 2 and ISO 27001 in weeks instead of months. We are building the integrations to the most popular tools like AWS, GCP, Azure, Jira and GitHub to do so. We are funded by top German investors (including the first angel investors of Flixbus).

Your role

As a Lead Engineer at Secfix, you will lead and help us build the best of an engineering team. You are directly responsible for the overall architecture, building and maintaining the core product and a modern infrastructure behind it. You’ll be improving our engineering roadmap with product co-founder. You will lead an international, world-class engineering team of 2-5 direct reports.
We are developing the next European tech unicorn and you will be in the front seat, working directly with co-founders and core team.

💡You will

Lead. Lead an engineering team of 2-5 engineers in developing a high-profile product using the latest technology. Our Talented DevOps, Full Stack, Front End and Back End Engineers will make sure we build the things quick.
Build. Pitch in by contributing to the codebase, ensuring the right foundational elements are being built in a maintainable, scalable manner and the system is evolving in an appropriate direction.
Manage. Perform Code Reviews, merge pull requests and oversee features, and systems by implementing and facilitating agile, lean, and devops development practices.
Cultivate. Ensure your engineers remain productive, effective, growing, and happy.

🧪 You have

Familiarity with lean, DevOps, and agile principles, and know the importance of batch size reduction, limiting WIP, and incorporating feedback to create value iteratively and incrementally.
Proven track record of 3+ years as Full Stack using Java Spring Boot and Angular in a startup that scaled or in a fast growing tech company
Experience (1+ years) in leading a single team. Managing people is just as exciting as managing software
Passion for shipping CI/CD is a must. Putting code live every day is a given.
Deep knowledge of AWS or another cloud provider
“Never-stop-learning” attitude and a desire to develop and grow
Openness to feedback, you are open to suggestions and to try things out
Passion for building a SaaS startups guided by YCombinator methodology
Motivation to be leading engineering teams with over 40 people in count soon
English language proficiency

Our Product

Integrations: We build integrations to the most popular tools our customers use: AWS, GCP, Azure, Jira and GitHub, etc. These integrations run hourly scans to make sure customers always are informed about their security maturity status as organization.
App: We build an API that is supporting the onboarding and features that customers love
Monitoring Agent: We help customers monitor Windows, MacOs and Linux machines using Osquery, SQL and GO.
