The Manager of Conferences and Events leads a high-performing team while driving strategic event initiatives that significantly impact nCino's business objectives. This role combines advanced people leadership with strategic program management, ensuring flawless delivery of 60+ annual events while developing organizational capabilities and establishing competitive advantages in the marketplace

  • Lead, develop, and scale a team of conference specialists through structured talent development programs, clear performance frameworks, and proactive succession planning
  • Own North America event strategy from concept to execution, ensuring every event ties directly to company objectives, marketing OKR’s, brand positioning, product marketing messaging, and revenue goals
  • Establish and influence global best practices for event planning, production, and measurement. Creating repeatable, scalable frameworks in collaboration across all global regions
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Executive leadership to ensure events actively support pipeline generation, customer retention, and expansion objectives
  • Build and manage a comprehensive global event budget, driving ROI optimization and cost-effective delivery without compromising attendee experience
  • Define and operationalize event performance measurement systems, tracking lead generation, pipeline contribution, and ROI, and translate data into continuous improvement
  • Cultivate and negotiate strategic vendor and agency partnerships that deliver competitive advantages and operational efficiencies
  • Champion innovation in event formats, technology integration, and attendee engagement, bringing fresh thinking to how nCino connects with customers, prospects, and the broader financial services community
  • Stay ahead of emerging event trends and technologies, applying relevant insights to keep nCino's event presence differentiated and forward-looking

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven track record of leading and scaling event teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple large-scale events simultaneously
  • Excellent leadership and team development capabilities
  • Superior communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience managing significant budgets and delivering ROI-driven results
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
  • Approximately 15% of travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or advanced degree, 8+ years related professional experience, 2+ years management experience
  • Experience in the fintech or technology sectors
  • Familiarity with event management software and digital event platforms
  • Experience with event analytics and ROI measurement
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Cvent, and event technology platforms

The pay range for this role is based on relative market data and alignment with our compensation philosophy. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum of the pay range for each job posting, which is used to determine new hire rates/salaries and takes into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, abilities, proficiencies, experience, education, licensures/certifications, as well as business and organizational needs. nCino reserves the right to modify the posted range consistent with our internal practices and external market movement. The Base Salary Range For This Job Is

$93,900.00 - $159,600.00
